In the 1930s to early 1940s, new births in the United States averaged around 2.3 to 2.8 million each year. In 1945, the number was 2.8 million births; it marked the beginning of the Baby Boom. In 1946, the first year of the Baby Boom, new births in the U.S. skyrocketed to 3.47 million births. New births continued to grow throughout the 1940s and 1950s, leading to a peak in the late 1950s with 4.3 million births in 1957 and 1961.

Most women would try keep their job but because they were only getting paid half the amount of men they may have gone to another workplace, where there was no men or just not have a job at all. Although some women would have not necessarily cared that they were getting half the pay of the men were becuse some would have thought, " At least i am getting some money" and "Some money is better than NO money". Lots of women would desperately need money if they didn't have a husband working and getting paid.

Leisure time could be enjoyed by shopping, going to the cinema, watching television and traveling abroad. By mid-decade motoring had also become a pleasure affordable to most and everything was 'fab' and 'groovy' and discotheques were the chic places to go. During the 60s there was a huge influx of Rock and Roll, beat and pop music from British bands, known in North America as the 'British Invasion'. Bands such as the Rolling Stones and the Beatles became popular in countries such as Australia, America and Canada. 1967 was the year of Peace and Love. 4. Why did this revolution occur in the 60's?
It happened because there was a race between the US and the USSR to get the first man up into space. They were determined to win this one, so they make sure it happened as soon as possible. It happened because
