ww2/ww2 started in 1939,
The Second World War was started by Germany in an attack on Poland. Britain and France declared
war on Germany after Hitler had refused to withdraw from Poland. ww2 ended in 1945 with 50 million people killed.

  • Becuase there was not much money around for entatainment so music was the easiest and cheapest
entatainment.

Men whent to war so there was no one to run the factories, shops.ect.so women had to leave their work at home
behind and their normal cloths and were forced to work in the factories and wear trouses and hair scarves. they
were forced to go to work but were not payed the same as the men.

All the minority groups like black people, gay people and othe small groups felt that it was time
to be equal with everybody else in society.There were lots of protests for equality of everybody
especially in the western world.

In the 60's women protested against they inequality they felt but in the 70's women started moving in
law, medicine and other important business and government positions.

With the cold war going on between the two superpowers(Russia, USA) and there spacerace and racefor improoving their tecnoligy, and taking photos of Earth from the moon,people appreciated our delicate planet even more.People started questioning goverments. Why did they build dams and destroyed forests. Why did farmers use so many pesticides to grow food.

People in the 70's, like the 60's, did nopt follow their parents thinking. The world was changing very fast for
them and they could see that inequality between people as not being right and started wanting to keep our

Iraq invaded Kuwait (my family moved after that to Saudi Arabia for 2 years). Soviet Union collapsed
and they lost the Afganistan war. Apartheid ended in South Africa.
