In what ways was radio the lifeline of Australia in the 1940's?Well you were connected to the world by only turning on the radio and you could learn about just anything. Other ways of connecting to the world was by letters, newspapers and/or in person.

What was happening in the world in the 1940's
World War ll was happening which was important and women's right became better because they were allowed to do more things and also things that men do.

Why were dance bands and their music so popular?
Because people liked to dance and because their was no t.v so they were everyone's entertainment.

Why was Nostalgia such an important element in pop music?
well Nostalgia means like remembering the past so like I guess everyone remembered the past so if people wrote songs about it more people would listen.

Lets see there were several like glen miller tommy dawson etc.

How did the roles and lives of women change during the 1940's?
Well when their husbands went to war women had to take over the men's responsiblity which was a lot different to their usual chores. Also women were eventually asked to go and fight at war.

It changed peoples lives becuase of its popularity.

When the men came back from war they decided they wanted children and so along several kids in several different families so it was called the Baby Boom.

It originated from the evolution of Rhythm n Blues.

Things like nuclear weapons and the Cold War.

Lots of people were working so lots of jobs were being used and the econmic and industrial system were much better.

In what ways were the 50’s conservative?
People were shaken up from the war so it made them very scared! When a car or motor cycle backfired they would duck for cover and when helicopters went past they would go and hide and take cover.

Because everyone was swing dancing. and lindy hop become more pop

Women were giving more rights but men still had better rights .latter the women got a little more rights.

Because people realised what was happening to the environment. because the world was starting to fall apart.

It made people become lazy, have bad eye sight etc. and they made a thing up to scare kids like square eyes.

Because people were very self focused and didnt care about anything else or any one else.

Things like internet and other computer stuff came out. arcade games decreased rapidly.

It impacted because people bought things that are like an American brand and people learnt other languages

Natural Disasters impact the world really badly. They freak everyone out and usually make people very carefull and scared.
